Field Service Manager – Italy

(m/f/d) 


The Field Service Manager champions a culture of exceeding customer expectations to ensure exceptional customer service delivery as we strive to be the company with the highest happiness factor for our customers and our employees. 

Your responsibilities 

  • Direct and guide the Field Service Team to accomplish assignments within established guidelines, procedures, and policies 

  • Coordinate with third-party service providers 

  • Organize staffing and manage remote post-sales troubleshooting 

  • Drive a sense of urgency to promptly address customer needs 

  • Motivate and cultivate a cohesive, cross-functional work atmosphere with a positive attitude 

  • Manage the field service schedule for repair, preventative maintenance, installation, and engineering change upgrades 

  • Develop Field Service Engineers through training, field interaction, and appraisals 

  • Train and develop newly hired field service personnel 

  • Prepare/update management documentation and present technical data to teams 

  • Schedule and perform latest modifications, mandatory updates, and preventive maintenances in line with customer expectations 

  • Manage car stock levels 

  • Promote service contracts and instrument products in the region, including lab automation 

  • Support the sales team in generating leads for new business 

  • Act as a regional information hub for the management team 

  • Provide training incentives and guidance to internal and external customers on assigned systems 

  • Contribute to a high-performing and innovative support environment across EMEA, ensuring exceptional customer service levels. 

  • Embrace the latest technologies and work closely with the Senior Manager of Customer Support to achieve our goals. 

  • Ensure compliance with the Code of Ethics, the Quality Management System, the Company Policies and the Corporate Procedures 

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Technology, Engineering or Electronics 

  • Experience in In-Vitro-Diagnostics industry, life sciences or related industries 

  • This position is home office based (preferably located in the Turin area) 

  • Frequent travel (up to 70% - including regular presence in the Italian office) 

Personal Skills:

  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills 

  • Excellent local language 

  • Fluent English (spoken) is mandatory 

  • Strategic mindset and the ability to work autonomously in challenging market conditions 

  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment, strong cross-functional collaboration mindset and capabilities
