Sales Product Specialist

Our Sales Product Specialist provides technical knowledge, advice and support to sales representatives, distributors or resellers and customers during the sales process. He/ She resolves requests regarding product or service technical issues and strives to maximise the benefits derived from the organisation's products and or services. In addition you provide input to tender submissions (by providing technical knowledge and answering tender questions, respecting deadlines) and you are responsible for the maintenance of key accounts. This involves regular on-site sales visits to ensure customer satisfaction. This position reports into the Regional Sales Manager France, Belux & Africa.

The Sales Product Specialist is expected to:

  • Develop, implement and provide training to internal & external customers
  • Assist the Sales team with pre- and post-sales technical activities such as on-site
  • Product presentations and demonstrations, and participate at exhibitions as requested
  • Understand the unique medical technology, application and maintenance of Tosoh products
  • Provide technical and scientific support for the installation, implementation and maintenance of the clinical system range at customer sites and assist in the evaluation and validation of assays
  • Handle complaints, analyse and take the required action including resolving technical product service issues
  • Provide remote (eg. phone, online) support to both internal & external customers
  • Work with customers to identify their technical specifications and determine what documentation is required to incorporate the products into customer applications
  • Develop application notes that clearly describe how the products should be used in the customers' target application
  • Develop and sustain effective cross-team communication and working relationships with colleagues
  • Manage the administrative part of marketing group activities in compliance with standard deadlines
  • Provide support with the technical specifications of the tenders
  • Provide technical/scientific support during product evaluations & automation projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Medicine,..)
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in handling technical issues and complaints
  • Tender writing experience, a haematology background or clinical diagnostics experience are a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – able to communicate on all levels of the organization as well as with external partners and customers
  • Empathic personality: able to understand the needs of other parties and open to different approaches
  • Experienced user of MS Office, Apple tools
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Able to work autonomously while keeping a strong team focus
  • Customer-centric approach
  • Organized, problem solver, systematic
  • English: business language – good knowledge
